In the beginning there was...
Me, a single guy who is just breaking into his thirties.
Make that a single guy who is discovering food for the first time.
Sure I've had food before, in fact I've been eating it my whole life.
But now I'm eating with a culinary mind. Don't get me wrong, I'm no food critic.
But I am educating myself in the culinary arts because... well because I love food and want to know everything about it and try everything I can (within my location, time and budget).
I'll be blogging about experiences at restaurants, my culinary classes and my own kitchen.
Sprinkled with bits of my dry and sarcastic humor.
This being my first post I'll give a short description of myself.
I'm an avid skier, fisherman, drummer and I love motorcycles as well as the outdoors.
Professionally I'm an Electrical Engineer. Which should tell you that I'm very much into how things work and the science behind them. I also have a creative side that loves music and arts.
That leads to my latest endeavor, food and cooking.
Food and cooking is the perfect match of science and art.
Your dealing with molecular structure and temperature.
But at the same time there are endless possibilities from cooking techniques and presentation to ingredient choices. So there's my new hobby, food and cooking (don't worry, I have a gym membership).
